Doğa Arıbaş
He started at 13 and was European champion within four years.
Born in Istanbul in 1995, Doğa Arıbaş went to TED College and then graduated in industrial engineering from Bilgi University. He started sailing at 13 at Istanbul Yelken Kulübü and, in just four years, made a strong entrance on the European stage with the 2012 Laser 4.7 European title.
Over the years he built up cross-disciplinary technical experience by racing in many classes, including the Laser, J70, Melges 32 and IRC yachts. In 2015 he cemented his career at international level with third place at the U21 Europeans and fourth at the U21 Worlds.
Winning the Red Bull Foiling Generation Nationals earned him a place in the world finals. He was a pioneer of foiling boats in Türkiye, introducing the WASZP class to the country and contributing to the growth of the sport.
From 2018 onwards, under the DAS banner, he both continued his own results and grew his corporate sailing operation. In the 2025 season he will keep representing both Türkiye and his sponsor brands at international regattas with the Eker Sailing Team in the Cape31 class and with Nautique Yachting in the J70 class.
