Founded in Marmaris in 1992
The Marmaris International Yacht Club was founded in Marmaris in 1992 by a group of sailors. Over a span of more than thirty years, the club brings together a wide community ranging from professional racing teams to amateur sailors and boat owners.
At the center of the club's calendar is the Marmaris International Race Week, promoted as the largest sailing organization in the Eastern Mediterranean. Alongside this, it runs a year-round racing program ranging from the winter trophy to university races, and from the youth cup to the end-of-year cup, as well as a sailing school for children.
