A school founded by national sailors
Cenoa Sailing is a sailing school founded by the national sailors Tarkan Akdoğan and the psychologist Çağdaş Artu, offering sailing courses and boat charter to companies and to individual groups.
The courses run out of Floating Pier 1 at Setur Kalamış Marina in Istanbul. The school works in the Marmara with a wheel-steered fleet made up mostly of Azuree 33 and Beneteau Oceanis 37 models; every boat has a cabin, a head, a shower and a galley.
The programme list is broad: from basic sailing for beginners to amateur sailing licence and radio courses, from corporate teamwork programmes to racing and offshore training.

The people running the school
Tarkan Akdoğan
He started sailing in 1980 at Karşıyaka Spor Kulübü and raced in the Optimist, Cadet and 470 classes. He was capped 65 times, became Turkish champion 7 times and won more than 80 medals.
Çağdaş Artu (psychologist)
He started sailing in 1991 at Karşıyaka Spor Kulübü and raced in the Optimist, Cadet, Laser and 470 classes. He was capped 6 times and won more than 40 medals. He runs one-to-one sessions and corporate teamwork programmes on board.
