2001, with the support of Milta Bodrum Marina. Its aim is to foster friendship and solidarity among sailors, boat owners, and sailing enthusiasts, and to organize yacht races in compliance with international rules. Its founding members are \u00d6mer Vehbi Karacalar, Timo\u00e7in \u00d6n\u00fcr, Zeki \u00d6zkal, \u015eenkar \u00d6zt\u00fcz\u00fcn, Erol Ta\u015fba\u015fl\u0131, Arto Teky\u0131ld\u0131z, and Altan Tekin.<\/p>\n <p>Starting its first race in 2001 with nine boats, the club eventually organized races on international routes such as Bodrum\u2013Kos\u2013Bodrum; the Famous Cup races, attended by celebrities, were a first in T\u00fcrkiye.
