He met sailing young, through his father. Over the years he raced as a helmsman on different boats and in different classes; he was among T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s first sailing coaches and served for a time as national team coach.<\/p>\n      <p>He did his primary and secondary schooling at Galatasaray Lisesi and graduated from the Mechanical Engineering department at Y\u0131ld\u0131z Teknik University. In his professional life he worked as a mechanical engineer and manager.<\/p>\n      <p>In 2009 he founded Hedef Yelken together with Yi\u011fit Ero\u011flu.
